Private Robert Graham Foster - known as Frog to his friends at home and Fozzy to his army family.
Rob was 19 years old when he was killed in a blue on blue incident in Kajaki, Afghanistan along with
his close friends Private Aaron McClure and Private John Thrumble on the 23rd August 2007. He was a
very proud member of B Company, 1 Royal Anglian Regiment - known as the Vikings who he only joined
in October 2006 after passing out from Catterick on the 20th October 2006 - it was to be a journey
of great personal satisfaction for him which was tragically cut so short.

Where do we start to talk about Rob and how do we stop! He was firstly a very loving man - he had
so much to go around and gave it freely. He loved his family and spoke to us everyday when he
could, he loved his friends at home and missed them very much while he was away and he loved his
army boys who became so important to him. Nearly every photo we have of him he has got his arm
around someone! He had a terrific sense of humour. A real joker in the pack and always upto some
sort of mischief! He would never turn down a dare and didn't care how daft he looked doing it! He
had the ability to cheer anyone up when they felt down, actually seeing it as his responsiblity to
do so. He always had a big smile on his face and took the time to talk to anyone of any age and
would never just put his head down and walk past.

He was a small pebble that when dropped in a big pond caused many ripples as was proved at his
celebration which was attended by over 500 people.

To us, his family, Rob is a great loss. Lisa & John, Lauren his sister, Grandparents, Uncles and
Aunts and Cousins all miss him very much. Quite simply, life will never be the same again.

Until we meet again our darling boy may you rest in peace. All our love always xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

this is lovely xxxxxx wanted to share it with you

My Mum doesn't know I'm watching her
but I'm watching her just the same.
And I hear each tear fall on her face
at the mention of my name.

She says it sounds like music to her ears
and can be heard over a crowd.
I hear each tear fall on her face,
when my name is said aloud.

I watch her stumble through each day
as she wishes the day would end.
And I hear each tear fall on her face
as she talks of me with her friends.

But there are few who truly understand.
this I've heard her proclaim.
And I hear each tear fall on her face.
Will my Mum ever be the same?

I know that her smile can light up a sky,
But I don't see that smile today.
But I hear each tear fall on her face,
and her blue skies have turned to grey.

I send my mum hugs full of love
with the rays of the morning sun.
Then I won't hear a tear fall on her face,
for I shall erase them one by one.

Yes, my Mum doesn't know I'm watching her,
but I'm watching her just the same.
And when I hear a tear fall on her face
I softly whisper her name.

Love and God Bless
